I have been craving to make a whole line of alternative pin-up girls. When I say pin-up girls, I do mean the same 40's demeanor with new age suicide girl looks. This is the first one. named her Sarah. I don't know why. She just reminds me of a Sarah. I'm pretty proud of this one. Hopefully I'll have more soon.

Traditional pen and ink for the black line, then I color in Photo shop. I have another Pin-up girl piece on the board. I have pics of it on my blog [link] under article, "Back at it (studio is functioning again).

For extra technique and instruction, I ended up getting a book called Hi-Fi Color For Comics: Digital Techniques for Professional Results [link] . It comes with a cd that has presets for your photoshop and teaches based on the instruction in the cd. I couldn't use the cd, but if you can get past some of their instruction and see what the technique is without the presets, it's a good book.
